Godwin’s signature and several words in his hand on a label affixed to the front free endpaper of vol. 2. Slight tears on the right side of pp. 347-8 and 531-2 in vol. 2, Japan tissue repair on the inner leaves at pp. 256-7 of that vol. [Hammond 38; CBEL II, 1250; Ebert 8644; Lowndes 905; Allibone 685; Brunet II, 1640].
