Carl Spadoni and Judith Donnelly have included all manner of books in this compilation: fiction, poetry, drama, biography, history, and other non-fiction, as well as textbooks at all levels. A good portion of the company's books in the pre-World War II period were imported from the United States and England; the compilers have therefore listed not only Canadian books, but also works by non-Canadian writers in Canadian issues.
