A scarce publication in good condition, approximately a dozen copies cited by WorldCat. Stories and poems by local authors such as Isabella Mackay, Charles Mair, and Ernest Thompson-Seton. Pictorial paper boards, brown plum cloth spine. Nicely repaired with a very handsome matching pictorial box in tan cloth and the spine in brown plum leather, purple cloth on the inside of the box. Book in good condition. With 3 photo post cards of: the General Hospital, Winnipeg; Lady Minto Hospital, Melford, Saskatchewan; and Lady Minto Hospital, Chapleau, Ontario. Fly leaf signed by Bertie Murphy (1890?-), Carberry, Manitoba, the son of Martha (née Armstrong, 1863-1947) and Gabriel B. Murphy (1856-1910), a grain and cattle merchant.
