History of Norfolk County Ontario, pioneers, Scottish lineage, the Smiths, French Hugenots, IIsrael Wood, Captain William Franklin, the Welsch nobility offshoots, Sitts, Middleton Browns, Potts, etc. The author’s original 1898 edition sold 1,100 of the 1,200 copies printed. The remainder burnt in a fire.
