First edition. 180 by 230mm (7 by 9 inches). Copperplate, uncoloured. Detailed and sharply engraved plan of Quebec with an inset map of 'The port and environs of Quebec, as it was when attack'd by the English' which illustrates the positions of "34 English Men of War," and the "French Cano's to observe the Motions of the English". Relief shown by hachures, shows fortifications and oriented with north to the right. Engraved and Issued Feb. 1759 for the "Universal Magazine" - a popular monthly journal. Very good condition.
