This work by Henry Miller, one of the great storytellers of all time, is the true story of how he fell passionately in love at the age of 75 with a lovely and talented 25 year old singer, Hoki Tokuda, from Japan. From his pursuit of her for a year and the frustration of his sleepless night, he has fashioned a deeply moving, revealing romantic story. • TLS to Mr. Cornell, n.d. [post-1945?], re signing a petition about Louis-Ferdinand Céline, says that Will Rogers, Jr. is interested in Céline, and that he’ll be in Hollywood in the next while.
• Signed postcard to Violla Ruffer, post-marked 3 November 1944, re his leaving the city and being gone a week or ten days, he won’t look for a place to stay since he will be returning to Big Sur, will call her when he returns from his trip.
