Dated 6 September 1831 at the Town of York in the Home district in the Province of Upper Canada by and between Jonathan Dean of the Township of Markham, in the said District, Yeoman and Elizabeth, Wife of the said Jonathan Dean of the one part ; Robert Williams of the Township of Hamilton in the District of Newcastle, in the said Province...That the said Jonathan Dean and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Seven pounds and ten Shillings... to them in hand paid by Robert Williams... tract of land and premises lying and being in the Township of Zorra in the County of Oxford, in the District of London... One hundred acres...

Grant Powell was a Canadian physician, surgeon, militia officer, justice of the peace, and judge. Clerk of the House of Assembly (1813-1827), Clerk of the Legislative Council (1827-1837), Police Justice, Judge of Home District Court, Official Principal of Probate Court, Commissioner of Customs. He was the third son of William Dummer Powell and Anne Murray.
