The Rev. Roland F. Palmer, SSJE wrote and published this in 1943 while he was still a priest of the Church of England in Canada (which would become the Anglican Church of Canada in 1955). For many years Father Superior of the Society of St. John the Evangelist at Bracebridge, Ontario
The ACCC (i.e. TAC, not ACC-OP) website says the following about the author:
"Father Palmer built churches and rescued ailing parishes all over the North American Continent. He taught at Nashotah House Seminary, was Superior of S.S.J.E. in San Francisco and Rector of the Church of the Advent there. He began S.S.J.E. in Bracebridge Ontario, building what he called the largest tar paper monastery in the world, from which centre the S.S.J.E. served many small backwoods communities, and the brethren increased to as many as thirty. He was much loved there especially. He preached missions and retreats in every province in Canada and every state in the U.S.A. except Alaska and Hawaii. He was instrumental in helping the Coptic Orthodox Church to get established in Toronto, and translated their liturgy from Coptic into English. He was a linguist, having competence in at least twelve languages, a liturgist, a theologian, a poet, the author of a dozen or more books and many, many booklets and articles. "
Very Good. Item #6863
