Theodore Arnold Haultain was a British writer. He published 36 books, on subjects ranging from "A history of Riel's second rebellion and how it was quelled" to "The mystery of golf". Haultain studied at the University of Toronto and then served as the secretary for Goldwin Smith in Toronto for many years.
His book, "Hints for Lovers", was a limited edition of 540, dedicated to his daughter Emma. The book is an analysis of relationships between men and women, about everything that lovers should know, and delves deep into the psychology of men and women, and the philosophy of courtship, engagement, kissing, making love, marriage, etc, in a light-hearted tone, with refreshing humor.
