From the library of James Douglas (1837-1918). Douglas was an ordained Presbyterian minister, but make his money and reputation as a metallurgist and businessman starting in Quebec but going to USA to and reached the presidency of three major mining companies in USA. Douglas Arizona and the Douglas Library at Queens’s University are both named after him. He was also a philanthropist in particular with Queens University where he was Queen's third Chancellor from 1915-1918.
