To Admiral Edmund Lyons, 1st Baron Lyons (1790-1858) British naval commander and diplomat who led a distinguished career in the Royal Navy culminating with the Crimean War and his appointment as Commander of the Black Sea Fleet. Admitting Lyons to the House of Commons that evening. Black spot at bottom right near signature, otherwise, very good condition.

Charles Shaw-Lefevre, 1st Viscount Eversley was a British Whig politician served as Speaker of the House of Commons from 1839 to 1857. He is the second longest serving Speaker of the House of Commons.
