Signature on sheet headed The Salvation Army and dated September] 1926 "Salvation! W. Bramwell Booth." This was written three years before his death.
Signature is slightly smudged otherwise strong and bold in good condition. Bramwell Booth (1856 -1929) First Chief of Staff at 24 years old (1881-1912) and the second General of the Salvation Army (1912-1929) succeeding his father, William Booth. His success as General of the Salvation Army includes "invading no less than 25 new countries, it has raised 8,000 officers, organized 6,000 corps and outposts, established 400 social institutions and it preaches the Gospel in 33 additional languages" The Sydney Morning Herald, Feb16, 1929.
