Milton and Cheadle travelled across Canada from Montreal and crossed the Rockies on horseback on their way to the Cariboo gold mines. First published in London in 1865. Wagner notes that Cheadle's description of the Cariboo mines is one of the best in existence. WAGNER-CAMP 420 (note). Sabin 49144. TPL 4342
Despite the dual authorship, the work appears to be written by Cheadle.
