Spine edge along front board is starting to crack but attached. General wear to boards. Browning to endpapers. Foxing throughout - type readable. Hand colored frontispiece portrait (not professionally done) of Nelson. Fold out map present (p.90) but with 2” tear at bottom into the river. 1/4” tear in page effecting type. on p.305 to p.312. Overall condition is good.
1810 edition of Nelson's famed memoir.
Charnock was a naval volunteer, and his work is based largely on letters he had collected for a general naval history, many of which were supplied by Captain William Locker. Cowie #129
