General W.T. Sherman called him "The most remarkable man our civil war produced on either side"
Of all the great figures who emerged from the Civil War there are few who can match the legendary cavalryman Nathan Bedford Forrest. His Personal exploits were incredibly dramatic. He killed 30 of the enemy in hand-to-hand combat, had 29 horses shot from under him, and was wounded or injured half a dozen times (along with a brilliant mind).
